Chefs for Kids Foundation was founded by Chef Christian Canales. He began his culinary career at the age of 15 at a Greek Diner in NY. He discovered the love of food or ‘’the art of cooking’’ and enrolled in the renowned Culinary Institute in New York City and embraced his new career with passion.
Chef Canales’ culinary repertoire flourished during an internship by Jean-Georges’ Mercer Kitchen, where he developed and refined his culinary techniques. Quickly, he worked his way up through well known establishments including; Hilton, Marriott and McCormick & Schmick’s. Now He works for a chain of five star nursing home.

One of his greatest passions is to help others in need, specially children. That’s how Chefs for kids originated. “Cooking for kids is one of my favorite things to do“.
